The parcel is situated on the lower slopes, south of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet and covers 0.54 hectares in this appellation where the vines are aged 40 years on average.
This is a wine made with great care and attention; harvested by hand, with immediate pressing. The wine is aged for around 12 months in barrels, of which 25% are new, and the remainder used for up to 6 vintages. A proportion of the wine stays in vat. After fermentation, the wines will have the lees stirred up twice a week and will be racked once. Bottling takes place 18 months after the harvest, at the end of winter (February).
The wine is open and lively on the nose, with notes of citrus and dried fruit. On the palate it is fruity, soft and subtle. The dried fruit flavours dominate giving depth to this elegant and distinguished 1er cru.
