Deeper, richer and more intense than the straight Brunello from Caparzo. Aged in wood for at least 2 years with at least 4 months additional aging in bottle this wine has the capacity to age for more than 35 years. The colour is ruby, tending towards garnet with age. It has a penetrating, ample nose, which is extremely complex, with wild berry fruit, spice and vanilla. The palate is dry, warm, well balanced and austere, ample and persistent. An excellent wine with roasts and spit-roasted meats, grilled meats, game, braised meats, and aged cheeses. Best if opened 1 - 2 hours before it is poured.
