These vines, which are over 30 years old, give a particular concentration and richness to the wine. The bouquet is dense and jammy - a mixture of plum and mango fruit. The palate is clean, lifted by hints of lime and a minerally character; spicy, silky and very long. Fantastically scrumptious without being over-the-top.
Benefitting from the region’s uniquely dry terroir, Cave de Turckheim has successfully implemented viticulture raisonée. Reducing the use of pesticides, soil treatments, water and energy consumption which ensures the sustainable production of high quality grapes with minimal environmental impact. For the last 5 years they have been working with natural agriculture taking care of the environment, reducing the amount of unnatural interference on the soil.
