Chassagne-Montrachet, Philippe Colin

Chassagne-Montrachet, Philippe Colin

Frost was a huge problem in this vintage and only around 50% of the expect yield was produced. Perhaps because of this the 2016 Chassagne Montrachet is very fine. The nose is full of tangerine zest and peach. Not particularly minerally but very harmonious with lovely acidity. The palate is fresh with lovely ripe stone fruit and a hint of the oak on the finish. A really lovely burgundy that is smooth and persistent.
